Join us on this very special, surfing and sewing day, here in the bay!
Your magical morning will start off with a 7am sunrise group surf, TBC best location on the day, and we’ll have Andy the talented in-water surf photographer to capture your waves.
Followed by hot bevvies (3 spoon milo anyone?), snacks, and sewing the morning away. We've booked a sun-filled room at Pāpāmoa Sport & Rec Centre, but BYO slippers and warm clothes for post surf snuggliness.
We are intentionally warming up and keepin' it beginner friendly for our first session, sewing your own zip up zinc/wax bag, an essential for every surfer out there.
Future sessions in this series to include a Surfboard Sock and Upcycled Towel Surf Poncho
Spaces are limited so you'll get loads of support with your surfing and your sewing.
Prep: If you have fabrics in mind you'd like to use, bring them (woven not stretchy). Could you upcycle some old worse-for-wear boardies perhaps? But loads of fabrics and zips will be provided.
Bring a sewing machine if you have one, but the room will be set up with machines and all the tools, threads etc we need to create our project.
Dates: Sunday May 4th
Time: 7am surfing, 9ish-11ish sewing
Location: Surfing: TBC, Sewing: Beachside Room, Pāpāmoa Sport & Rec Centre
