Join us and the growing sewing community here in Tauranga, and the world-wide family of supportive makers across the globe! Feel the joy of slowing down, switch off our phones and getting hands on with some craft, meeting crafty pals alongside you. Feel encouraged by your #1 sewing hype girl (thats me) and empowered by what you can create yourself (wohoo). Leave class with your creative confidence brimming with all the things that you could DIY in future!

at the Social Fabric room Creative Community Campus, 17th Ave, Tauranga.
Session 1: Learn the ropes (literally threading up) of a machine, understand all the decorative and dangerous features, and once you're feeling all warmed up you get to choose some fabrics from my fabric stash and together we will whip up a snackage package, a zero waste cutlery kit.
Session 2: Learn the most common repair techniques, hemming, rips and buttons, BYO repairs pile and we will learn and tackle the items together. Returning clothes to the wardrobe to be loved and worn again.
WHAT TO BRING: Bring a sewing machine if you have one, but the space is fully set up with sewing machines and tools. Fabric is supplied. Bring a water bottle if you need it, and a notebook if you find note-taking helpful for your learning experience.
