Kia ora! It would be a pleasure to help you make a summer dress!
Next intake: Tuesday 25th October (running for 4 consecutive Tuesday evenings)
6:30 - 8:30 pm
Raglan Community House Basement.
Come join our small group making something pretty magical. Could you imagine wearing a dress that fits your beautiful bespoke body perfectly? One you can hem to YOUR perfect dancing length, flex the wrap adjustments so you can eat everything YOU like and still feel comfy, and add frills or pleats wherever you prefer them to sit on YOU. It would be a pleasure to walk alongside you and help you with your dressmaking!
I have recommendations to purchase your own patterns, a library of patterns to share, and plenty of pre-class prep support so you can feel confident buying the perfect fabric to suit you and your chosen dress pattern style.
This is a 4 part class.
Part 1: Preparation. In this session we will get familiar with pattern pieces, sizing and cutting out all the pieces and their all important notch markings!
Part 2 & 3: Will be sewing your gorgeous dress, pressing and overlocking as you go.
Part 4: Will be doing the final finishes like pressing and finishing hems or attaching buttons.
WHAT TO BRING: Bring a sewing machine if you have one. Please get in touch if you don't as we have some to loan out from WEC's Tool Library. Bring a cup for a hot tea, and a notebook if you find note-taking helpful for your learning experience.
Any questions, get in touch.
